Vaneers are a layer made of composites or porcelain that is pasted on the front surface of all the front teeth . these are recommended in developmental defects , tetracycline and fluoride staining and other dark and brown stains.
Bleaching is a simple procedure which is recommended to every patient who is having healthy teeth which are darker or yellowish than the desired shade.
Bleaching is done with carbamide peroxide gel . It can be done as in Office procedure with 35% strength or as a home procedure with 10-15% strength gel. For home procedure Bleaching trays are custom made for the size of the patients’ dental arch.
Bleaching is not a permanent treatment. For sustained results certain colored food items like coffee , colas, turmeric etc. need to be avoided and bleachng repeated every 6 -9 months interval.
